Braedy and Wendy are very private people. The idea of being the centre of attention and having an intimate moment in front of people seemed like a daunting task and it didn’t feel like “them”. To the bride and groom, the idea of a traditional wedding, no matter how small, felt like a performance for an audience and something that would not honestly reflect a celebration their love.
The bride and groom opted to explore a local park and ravine, taking a short walk and hike to get to an extremely private area and next to the flowing river they read their vows to one another.
For introverts especially, eloping is a fantastic way to celebrate your special day without the usual pressure that comes along with weddings. Wendy & Braedy made their elopement about them, spending the day together, enjoy the beautiful weather and scenes that Alberta has to offer and by doing so, they created an authentic elopement experience and one that they can look back on fondly for the rest of their lives.
