Although Katie & Jeff lived in Toronto, they wanted to escape the city and elope in an intimate setting with a breathtaking view. A short drive away from Toronto, the Drake Devonshire ticked off all the right boxes for the bride and groom’s dream elopement. Booking a few rooms in the boutique hotel, the bride and groom and their immediate families had a quaint brunch before getting ready in their vintage inspired loft style hotel rooms.

After their first look, the bride and groom exchanged vows beneath a large lakeside willow trees surrounded by unique art pieces and their immediate families. The small size of this private elopement created a closeness and dynamic that just can’t be recreated in larger groups. The bride and groom got to have genuine one-on-one moments with all their guests and they even had enough time to explore the vintage hotel, snap a few photos in the Photo Booth and walk along the shoreline and enjoy the sunset as it dipped behind Lake Ontario late in the evening.
