I will preface this post by saying Lydia and Michael are troopers, super troopers.
We had scheduled their engagement for an early morning at the Guelph Arboretum and when we arrived, it was pouring rain. They decided that they were up for the session and a little rain wouldn't stop them (However, it was a lot of rain). We ended up finding a few very cool indoor spaces, which we wouldn't have looked twice at if the weather had been perfect. Although we had a great time in the rain, minus the mosquitoes, I suggested we go back another day when we could actually explore the grounds.
The University of Guelph and the Arboretum are so beautiful that I felt I owed it to Lydia and Michael to capture that for them. On top of that, they had met at the University which is why we did the photos there in the first place. We ended up going back on a beautiful Sunday evening, which made for the perfect contrast to our previous experience. I think what I loved most about this was that I got to spend double the amount of time with these two, we got to know each other even better and I left there feeling like I had just spent an evening with friends. Lydia and Michael are fun, genuine, down-to-earth people and I am so grateful that our paths have crossed and that I get to be there when they say their "i do's" this October.
